The Manaslu Expedition is one of the most demanding high-altitude mountaineering journeys in the Himalayas. Mount Manaslu stands at an elevation of 8,163 meters above sea level, making it the eighth-highest mountain in the world. During the Manaslu Expedition, Aarogya Nepal Tech supported expedition teams by providing its advanced Portable Device Health Monitor to assist with health monitoring in this extreme environment.
The Portable Device Health Monitor was used by expedition medical teams to conduct quick and reliable health checks throughout the Manaslu Expedition. The device integrates several vital monitoring functions into a single compact system, allowing teams to measure essential health parameters such as blood pressure, oxygen saturation, heart rate, body temperature, and other key vitals. These quick assessments are especially important during high-altitude climbs where conditions can change rapidly and physical stress is significant.
Climbing at extreme elevations like the 8,163-meter Manaslu Expedition requires careful monitoring of climbers’ health and well-being. With the support of the Portable Device Health Monitor, expedition teams were able to perform regular health checks and maintain better awareness of the physical condition of climbers and guides throughout the journey.
The successful deployment of our device during the Manaslu Expedition highlights the importance of portable health technology for mountaineering, trekking, and high-altitude expeditions in Nepal’s Himalayan region.
